Dr. Joseph Dunkley

Dr. Joseph Dunkley grew up in Mission Viejo he decided to pursue a career in health care while he was earning his bachelor’s degree. He took a course titled” The Psychology of Health” and It changed his life, setting a course that would lead him to practice as a functional medicine practitioner. He learned about the devastating effect that chronic stress can have on the body as well as many lifestyle factors that promote health and longevity. He wanted to use this knowledge to help people live healthier lives. After earning his bachelor’s at U.C. Davis He attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He then pursued post doctorate education to become a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner.

His work as a functional medicine practitioner has led to great success working with Diabetics and a wide variety of health concerns as well as helping people to avoid these problems with general health and wellness programs he has worked and trained with prominent functional medicine clinics. He is pleased to bring functional medicine to all those who can benefit from its life changing solutions.

Dr. Dunkley loves to uncover the underlying causes by using advanced testing to find the dysfunctions that lead to many of today’s common chronic health concerns. He encourages lifestyle habits that lead to increased health and often eliminates the need for medications. Working in an integrated office where patients have access to a broad variety of treatments and doctors who can collaborate with each other is ideal to help our patients achieve the best possible results.

Dr. Dunkley is the proud Father of Five Children and loves living in Orange County. He enjoys Surfing and Mountain Biking. He spends free time with his family and prefers to be at the beach where he likes to surf, snorkel and explore.
